Working Solutions chief executive and founder Kim Houlne is among 31 leaders being honored at the Dallas Business Journal’s (DBJ) 2017 Women in Business Awards announced today.
Houlne is being recognized as one of North Texas’ most influential businesswomen at two upcoming events. The first is at a private dinner with program alumni and other honorees in July. She then will be with this year’s honorees at DBJ’s 10th annual awards and trade show in August.
A woman-owned business, Working Solutions provides on-demand, U.S.-based contact center solutions. Its scalable model enables clients to more closely align workforce needs to their business cycles.
As a chief executive, Houlne scores a 90%-plus approval rating on Glassdoor, where the company itself consistently earns a four-star and higher recommendation.
Her recognition by the Dallas Business Journal adds to accolades from respected news, academic and business organizations in recent years.
In 2016, Houlne was profiled on KERA’s CEO series as the company celebrated 20 years of leadership in its industry. The interview highlighted her as a champion of the work-from-home business model and an advocate for American workers.
Spotlighting Houlne’s entrepreneurial spirit, she also was featured among panelists at two Dallas business conferences. In 2016, she discussed growth strategies at the JPMorgan Chase Small Business Conference. A year earlier, Houlne spoke at the bank’s Women’s Business Symposium, sharing the panel with other successful entrepreneurs.
In 2015, she was honored with the Stevie® Awards for Women in Business for Lifetime Achievement. They are part of the prestigious International Business Awards and American Business Awards.
