Working Solutions Again Places #1 in FlexJobs Top 100 for 2025

Plano, Texas – In back-to-back recognition, Working Solutions ranked #1 this year in the 12th annual FlexJobs Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs. Known for its best practices in quality, on-demand customer experiences (CX), the premier contact center outsourcer also placed #1 in 2024.

This year’s spot continues a multi-year run for the company of being recognized among the top tier of organizations that shine at creating virtual-work opportunities.

“Working Solutions sets CX standards for service excellence that other providers strive to achieve,” said its chief executive Kim Houlne. “And attracting the best-of-the-best talent is one of the reasons.”

According to remote-work expert FlexJobs: “For the second year in a row, Working Solutions earned first place on FlexJobs’ Top 100 list. In addition to providing work-from-home job opportunities in customer service, Working Solutions has hired for remote jobs in consulting, project management and sales.”

Despite more organizations mandating that workers return to the office, the remote model remains popular for its work-life balance, access to skilled professionals and unparalleled flexibility.

Toni Frana, lead career professional at FlexJobs, said: “As the job landscape continues to shift, it’s clear that remote work remains a top priority for workers—and employers. We hope the list of companies not only serves as a valuable resource for job seekers but empowers even more employers to expand their remote work opportunities in the year ahead.”

Virtual Has Proven Viable

Working Solutions is approaching its 30th year in on-demand contact center outsourcing. Houlne, who founded the company, acknowledged the difficulties for businesses, government agencies and workers wrestling with the back-to-the office issue.

“Fact is, we’ve been remote from very start, since 1996,” she said. “Our virtual operations have evolved over decades. Fine-tuned year after year to excel.”

She added: “In our industry, being virtual affords us the freedom to serve clients in fluid ways that traditional call centers can’t. We can scale up in the moment, without being limited by circumstances, such as workforce availability or a facility’s size.”

Trusting Workers – Seen or Not

Now, she said, there is a tug of war in the bigger workplace, where many companies are convinced their teams would be more productive in the office than being remote.

Houlne understands the rationale for certain jobs, which require a physical presence. The real question, though, is: “Do you trust workers or not to perform well? Seen or not.”

Business success, she believes, comes down to having faith in workers—employees or contractors—and they, in turn, being professional.

Fostering a Caring Workplace

“What’s needed is hiring the right people, having rigorous processes in place to guide them and frontline leaders who engage workers, whether they’re staff or outside pros,” she said.

And that takes a corporate foundation built on defined values and character, both which nurture a caring, trustworthy culture.

Having workers in the office is no guarantee of success, Houlne said. “An atmosphere of achievement has to be fostered throughout the ranks, wherever the job exists, physical or virtual.

“In the end, it’s not about the place where the work is done. It’s all about the people who get it done.”
