Working Solutions Agents, Employees Step In to Stand Up to Cancer™ this Friday

Dallas, Texas —More than 500 contact center agents—all independent contractors at on-demand outsourcer Working Solutions—are signed up to be online and answering phones along with employees across America and Canada during the Stand Up To Cancer™ 2018 telecast this Friday, September 7, starting at 7 p.m. (CST).

Also known as SU2C or S↑2C, this Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) program was started a decade ago by women affected by the disease. After the first telethon in 2008, SU2C reportedly has brought in millions of dollars in donations worldwide, which are used for research.

The charity’s website states that more than 1,500 scientists collaborate at 180+ institutions, all united in purpose: “One goal: to turn all cancer patients into long-term survivors.”

Working Solutions chief executive Kim Houlne, who will answer phones during the event, said: “We’ve had—and do have—employees, agents and their families afflicted by cancer. We all need to stand up to put down this disease.”
