Working Solutions Announces New Senior Sales Leader to Accelerate Business Development

Dallas, Texas – Working Solutions, a leader in on-demand contact center outsourcing, named Gary Ash as senior vice president of Business Development and Sales. He takes on the role as the company expands into emerging markets and renews its presence in industries rebounding from the pandemic.

Ash has far-ranging sales and service experience in corporations and private enterprises. He led large-scale operations for international wireless communications and software companies. He also knows small business as a former franchisee of a Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, an investor in startups such as Twisted Root Burger Co., and a partner in a wedding-catering firm with his wife, Mary.

To Working Solutions, Ash brings the perspectives of both worlds—global and hometown. “Whatever the size of the business, my job in sales and service is to deliver value for clients and their customers.”

Generated Millions in New Logos

Recently, he served as vice president of Network Solutions for BearCom Private Network, North America’s largest solutions provider and system integrator of wireless voice and data communications equipment.

There, Ash created a profitable line of business, building technical and sales teams. Launching a go-to-market strategy, they generated more than $10 million in new-logo business in 18 months.

Welcoming Ash, Working Solutions chief executive Kim Houlne said: “Gary’s background in businesses big and small is the right mix to match solutions for clients. His broad perspective offers them insight and innovation.”

Expanded Business with Acquisitions

Previously, Ash served Spok, Inc., as a global leader in healthcare communications. Over 19 years, he held senior positions, including chief operating officer and executive vice president of global sales.

While there, Ash led the global wireless and software sales teams, targeted and integrated acquired entities, and served in multiple regional and market leadership roles. His achievements included leading an expansion strategy, resulting in the $163M acquisition of a software business. He also held a company record of annual software bookings.

Before Spok, Ash worked for Coopers and Lybrand, as well as Kenneth Leventhal and Company.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, cum laude. He is an MBA candidate (2023) at Texas Tech University, specializing in artificial intelligence and big data.
