With 20+ years of human resources experience, Kristin Kanger pioneered practices that became standards in sourcing on-demand talent. She modified bricks-and-mortar processes to work in the virtual world and attract next-generation, educated and experienced contact center agents.
“It requires continuous adaptation to meet ever-changing client demands,” she says. To that end, Kristin has led talent initiatives in traditional and virtual environments. “Recruiting is a process and an art, matching the proper skills and personalities to the right positions.”
Joining Working Solutions in 1999, she expanded its HR policies to reflect the leadership of Kim Houlne, who promotes a caring culture. Today, Kristin leads Corporate Talent—with benefits administration, compensation programs, job design, employee relations and talent acquisition—and Virtual Talent, the agent selection process. Previously, she held recruitment specialist, HR generalist and consulting roles at Mutual of Omaha.
It takes a level head to lead, believes Kristin. “I've been referred to as ‘the voice of reason’ and tend to think creatively, but logically and objectively.”
Kristin earned her BA degree from Creighton University in human resources and communications. She's been a Professional in Human Resources since 2001. Kristin belongs to the Society for Human Resource Management and the Greater Omaha chapter, Human Resource Association of the Midlands.
At Creighton University, Kristin decided to follow the paths of her father and aunt, who both had successful HR-focused careers. There, she oversaw a small telemarketing team that encouraged attendance at recruiting events to increase university enrollments.
